At Winston and Friendz boarding dogs are carefully separated into supervised play groups based on size and temperament to help ensure a safe and comfortable environment. Small dogs stay together in their own group, while larger dogs are placed with other compatible large dogs. Unlike traditional kennels where dogs spend most of the day confined, our boarding dogs enjoy an interactive daycare-style experience. Dogs remain out of their kennels for approximately 12 hours each day, socializing and playing under staff supervision. All boarding dogs receive outdoor bathroom breaks and short walks twice daily — once in the morning and once in the evening. Feeding times are always done individually in each dog’s kennel to help prevent food aggression, resource guarding, or feeding-related stress between dogs. This allows every dog to eat safely, comfortably, and at their own pace. Our overnight accommodations are not standard wire crates. Each dog stays in a spacious private kennel approximately 20 square feet in size, designed for comfort and security, featuring solid walls and glass doors for a more open, calm, and upscale boarding environment. After a full day of play and enrichment, dogs are settled comfortably into their kennels at approximately 7:00 p.m. for overnight rest and sleep.
